Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Shopfront and the websites and services we provide. By using Shopfront or requesting a preview, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Shopfront is operated as Shopfront.design, based in the United Arab Emirates ("Shopfront", "we", "us"). "You" means the person or business using our service.

2. What we provide

Shopfront designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for local businesses. This includes a free preview and — if you choose to proceed — a full website that we host and look after on an ongoing basis.

3. The free preview

You can request a free, one-page preview of a website for your business. The preview is provided at no cost and with no obligation. We may build it using information that is publicly available about your business and any link you share with us.

4. Pricing and payment

Our pricing is shown on our website and starts from a one-time setup fee plus a recurring monthly fee, with optional add-ons priced individually or on quote. The setup fee and first payment are due before we begin building your full website. Monthly fees are billed on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars unless agreed otherwise and exclude any taxes that may apply.

5. 30-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied, you may request a refund of the setup fee within 30 days of your initial payment. Recurring monthly fees already incurred are non-refundable. Third-party costs we pass through at cost — such as domain registration — are non-refundable, though any domain registered for you remains yours. To request a refund, email sales@shopfront.design.

6. Subscription, renewal, and cancellation

Your website is provided on a subscription basis. There is no long-term commitment — you may cancel at any time, and your subscription will end at the close of the current billing period. Because your website is hosted and maintained on our platform, it will be taken offline when your subscription ends.

7. Domain, website, and content ownership

Your domain. If we register a domain for you, it is registered with you as the legal owner (the registrant on the official record); Shopfront is listed only as the administrative and technical contact so we can manage it on your behalf, and you appoint Shopfront as your Designated Agent (under ICANN's Transfer Policy) to approve registration changes and transfers for you. Your domain remains yours whether or not your subscription is active. If you bring your own domain, it stays in your account and we simply connect it.

Your website. Your website is designed, built, hosted, and maintained on Shopfront's platform as part of your subscription. The design, code, templates, and systems that power it remain the property of Shopfront and are licensed to you for use while your subscription is active; the built website is not transferred to you and is taken offline when your subscription ends.

Your content. The materials you provide or that are about your business — your text, images, logos, and business information — remain yours, and on request we will return or export them to you. This is separate from the website itself, which stays on our platform as described above.

Leaving. You may transfer your domain to another provider at any time. On request, and at no charge, we will unlock the domain and provide the transfer authorization (EPP) code so you can move it to a registrar of your choosing. The only constraint is ICANN's standard 60-day post-registration transfer lock, which applies to all registrars and which we cannot waive. Moving your domain is free, as set out above; if you separately ask us for hands-on help migrating your content or for technical documentation to set up a website elsewhere, that work is billed as a one-time transfer-assistance fee equal to one month's subscription.

8. Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate information and to provide only content and images that you own or have the right to use. You are responsible for the content you ask us to publish and for keeping your account details up to date.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Shopfront for anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful, and not to publish content that infringes the rights of others. We may decline or remove content, or suspend the service, if these terms are breached.

10. Changes and support

Small changes to your website are included in your subscription — send them whenever you need to, and we apply them in a single update once a month. Larger changes and add-ons are quoted in advance. We aim to give you a clear timeline for any work once the details are confirmed.

11. Disclaimers

We work hard to deliver a high-quality service, but the service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any particular business result such as traffic, rankings, or sales.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shopfront will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your service if fees are unpaid or if these terms are breached. You may cancel at any time as described above.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless mandatory consumer law where you live requires otherwise.
